The Stable on Boxwood Drive

I am currently the manager of a boarding stable on Boxwood Drive.  The stable, a two stall barn and 11 acre field, has the following amenities:
  • Gas Generator Powered Electricity - all lights work and illuminate barn very well.
  • Several outlets for clippers, etc.
  • Two large stalls, both stripped and bedded with clean shavings
  • One sets of cross ties in a covered aisleway for grooming and tacking use.
  • Large tack room equipped with state of the art lock and latch system, new solid wooden door. 
  • Multiple bridle hooks and saddle holders, for ease of tack storage 
  • Large feed room with pallets and tarps to maintain hay in storage - can fit 115+ bales of hay
  • Room to park two smaller bumper pull trailers beside the barn
  • One main field, excellent grass quantity to maintain up to 6 horses comfortably.
  • Fencing is wire and post with a solar-powered electric strand for reinforcement, well maintained by barn owner.
  • Hot water spring that is thawed all year round for the horses to drink from - No ice-breaking needed! 
  • Mineral blocks resupplied as needed.
  • Trails that go to Pandapas Pond are available within riding distance from the barn.
  • Small turnout paddock for separated feeding, or maintenance of sick or injured horses. 
  • 5 sets of jump standards available for boarder use.


Future Amenities {Spring 2014}: 
  • Flood light above stalls to increase visibility.  
  • Main Arena, complete with dressage letters and jumps - fencing will be T posts with electric tape.
  • Round Pen - fencing will be T posts and electric tape.  
  • Cross Country Jumps - several log jumps, a tire jump, and several other different obstacles.

Boarding Prices:

Self-Care Pasture Board: $100/month/horse*
Horses are cared for by owners, and owners are given full use of facilities and equipment. NOTE: Hay fee is currently $40/month.

Partial-Care Pasture Board: Negotiable on a case-by-case basis.* NOTE: Hay fee is currently $40/month.

*$100/horse/month is valid only from April - October.  From November - March, board will include 1/2 bale of hay/horse/day, price will be determined based on hay prices. NOTE: Hay fee is currently $40/month.  Any questions can be directed to the barn manager at the following number, 240-274-5513. 

Other Services:

~Blanketing: $30/month
~Extra Daily Feeding: $15/month
